Barbed wire, also known as barb wire, less often as bob wire or bobbed wire, is a type of steel fencing wire constructed with sharp edges or points arranged at intervals along the strand(s). It is used to construct inexpensive fences and is used atop walls surrounding secured property.

Barbed wire is made with high quality low carbon steel wire with the automatic twist machine. It is commonly used in grass field edges, railway, high way, prison and the privacy fields for separation.

Barbed wire have three common twist types: single twist barbed wire, double twist barbed wire and traditional twist barbed wire.

In general, Barbed wire includes line wire and barbed wire, the wire diameter of line wire is larger than that of barbed wire. The barbed wire twist types depends on the twist type of line wire and barb wire. And the line wire sometime is single wire, sometimes is double wire.
